MISSION & OBJECTIVES
On-Site Bristol’s Mission is
“to increase the employment and skill levels of Bristol people working on construction projects, thus raising the income of local people, especially those in greatest need, increasing their spending power and revitalising deprived areas of the city”
Our Strategic Objectives are
- To promote employment in the construction sector as a career path of choice for local residents.
- To promote the benefits of a well trained, qualified, locally recruited and diverse workforce to construction employers and developers working locally.
- To enable local residents to access employment and training opportunities leading to skilled and sustainable employment in construction trades.
- To increase the volume, quality and achievement levels of local employment and training provision in construction trades.
- To prioritise residents experiencing disadvantage in the labour market, or underrepresented in construction trades – especially residents of Neighbourhood Renewal Areas, females and Black & Minority Ethnics, but also other priority groups, lone parents, disabled people and the long-term unemployed.
- To contribute to the formation and delivery of strategies, policies and action plans of partners, and others, in order to aid implementation of On-Site Bristol’s own strategies, policies and action plans.
- To develop the organisational capacity and financial viability of On-Site Bristol to implement its strategies, policies and action plans.
